- Days: 6:00am - 6:00pm | 4 on / 4 off
- Nights: 9:00pm - 6:00am | Sunday - Thursday
The Opportunity:
We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a leading regulated manufacturing business in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established engineering team responsible for maintaining high-speed production machinery in a modern manufacturing environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, carrying out effective fault finding and root cause analysis.
- Maintain and repair PLC-controlled, high-speed production and packaging machinery.
- Work on a variety of equipment including industrial ovens, microwaves, HV transformers, slicers, sealers, metal detectors, and refrigeration systems.
- Support equipment optimisation, machine start-ups, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
- Complete detailed shift handovers and engineering reports.
- Support and mentor apprentices and junior engineers where required.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
