Automatic Crosscut Saw Operator Location: Corby Pay: £14.00 + per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm Contract: Temporary with the opportunity to become permanent Start Date: ASAP Temporary to Permanent | Immediate Start Are you experienced in operating automated or CNC woodworking machinery and looking for your next opportunity? We’re currently looking for an Automatic Crosscut Saw Operator to join a busy timber operation in Corby. You’ll be working with a Hundegger automatic crosscut saw, producing accurately cut timber components to meet production requirements. What will you be doing? Setting up and operating the automatic crosscut saw Entering cutting lists and ensuring the machine is correctly programmed Inspecting timber for defects and making the best use of each piece to minimise waste Measuring and checking finished timber for accuracy and quality Carrying out routine machine checks, cleaning and blade changes Working safely and following all site health and safety proceduresWhat are we looking for? Ideally, you’ll have: Previous experience operating automated or CNC woodworking machinery A good understanding of timber, including common defects Strong measuring skills and excellent attention to detail A reliable, practical approach to work A good attitude towards health and safety A valid forklift licenceWhat’s on offer? £14+ per hour, depending on experience Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm Temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent Immediate start PPE provided Full training provided on siteIf you’ve got experience working with timber and automated machinery and want a role where your skills will be put to good use, we’d like to hear from you
