Overview
We are supporting a growing and forward-thinking conveyancing firm that provides high-quality legal services and an excellent client experience. Due to continued expansion across multiple offices in Northampton, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Kettering and St Neots, they are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Case Handler to join their team. This role offers structured development, ongoing on-the-job training, and clear opportunities for progression within conveyancing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage conveyancing files in an orderly and compliant manner, ensuring all checklists are maintained and files kept up to date
- Handle all aspects of a sale transaction from instruction through to completion, including issuing draft contract documentation, managing freehold and leasehold enquiries, and exchanging contracts
- Manage purchase files from instruction to completion, subject to supervision
- Issue regular update reports to clients and introducers
- Review and report on search results, identifying and addressing any issues
- Check mortgage offers and report findings to clients
- Report on matters in line with the UK Finance Mortgage Lendersβ Handbook
- Prepare sale and purchase files for completion, including completion packs for supervisor sign-off
- Work closely with accounts, post-completion, and support teams to ensure smooth progression of files
- Attend to office administration tasks as required, including post, filing, accounts balances, and file closures
- Manage workload effectively and provide oversight of support staff where applicable
- Take full responsibility and accountability for files under management
- Deal with all contacts in a professional, client-focused manner
