We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Metal Shearer to operate industrial shearing machinery used to cut sheet metal and metal components to precise measurements and specifications. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality output while maintaining safety and efficiency within the fabrication workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate guillotine/shearing machines to cut metal sheets, plates, and components accurately.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and cutting schedules.
  • Measure and mark materials using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Set up and adjust machine settings according to material type and thickness.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards and dimensional accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on shearing equipment.
  • Handle and move metal materials safely using lifting equipment where required.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Report equipment faults, material shortages, or production issues to supervisors.
