Accounts & Audit Senior
Northampton
£35,000 – £40,000 DOE
Monday – Friday
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts & Audit Senior to join our clients dynamic and growing team. This is a client-facing role ideal for someone with a solid background in practice who is looking to build on their expertise across a range of accountancy and audit work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, including associated corporation tax returns.
- Lead statutory audits, Solicitors\’ Accounts Rules (SAR) audits, and grant audits, managing junior staff during fieldwork.
- Provide support to the Accounts Managers with various ad hoc tasks and assignments for corporate clients.
- Assist the outsourced services team with the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns when required.
- Contribute to client projects, such as financial forecasting and planning.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years\’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
- Proven ability to work across a range of industries and client types.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, particularly FRS 102 Section 1A.
- Strong understanding of corporate tax and VAT compliance.
- Familiarity with accounting software, ideally IRIS and Xero.
- Ability to manage workloads independently and meet tight deadlines..
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A proactive, reliable, and collaborative team player.
- High level of integrity, commitment, and a problem-solving mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
