We are working with a well-established and busy engineering business in Northampton who are looking to appoint an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable company with consistent overtime available and a strong team environment.
Due to the location, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own transport.
Key Responsibilities- Setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls
- Programming machines to produce high-quality components
- Working from 2D engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- Machining a range of materials including 316, 304, Duplex, Titanium and Hastelloy
- Inspecting your own work to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Monday Thursday: 06:00 14:30 or 07:00 15:30
Friday: 06:00 12:00
~38 hours per week
~ Overtime readily available, including Saturdays
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner (setter/operator)
- Strong experience working with Fanuc controls
- Ability to programme, set and operate independently
- Confident reading and interpreting 2D drawings
- Experience working with a variety of materials
- Able to inspect own work and work to tight tolerances
- Reliable, team-focused and committed to quality
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
- Experience within a fast-paced machining environment
- Salary of £36,400
- Overtime readily available
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (with a small number of days reserved for Christmas shutdown)
