As Finance Manager, you’ll take ownership of the month-end process, management accounts, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting, while supporting wider business operations and leading a junior finance team member.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager
- Prepare monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Lead month-end journals and reporting processes
- Manage cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Oversee intercompany invoicing and reconciliations
- Support annual budgets, long-term financial planning, and audits
- Review payroll reports, pension submissions, and financial allocations
- Track project income and expenditure across grants and contracts
- Support senior leadership with board reporting and financial analysis
- Line manage and develop an Accounts Assistant
About You
We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, commercially minded, and ready to take ownership. You’ll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (AAT Level 4 considered with strong experience)
- At least 3 years post-qualified experience
- Strong management accounts and month-end experience
- Budgeting and cash flow forecasting knowledge
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills
- Leadership or mentoring experience
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
