Production Manager Wellingborough Salary - £Negotiable DOE We're recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing UK manufacturer seeking an experienced Production Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and performance of a busy manufacturing operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven manufacturing professional to join a business that is investing in its people, processes and production capability.

Operating within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in improving operational performance, developing teams and delivering world-class standards across safety, quality, cost and efficiency.

The Role Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will have overall responsibility for production performance across the operation, ensuring manufacturing targets are achieved while driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

You will lead and develop production teams, improve processes, optimise resources and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the business continues to deliver high-quality products for its customers.

Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and develop production supervisors, team leaders and operatives.

Take ownership of daily production performance, ensuring targets for safety, quality, delivery and cost are achieved.

Drive improvements in productivity, efficiency, waste reduction and manufacturing capability.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve operational performance.

Promote a strong health safety culture and ensure compliance with company standards.

Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Maintenance teams to minimise downtime and improve output.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Support workforce planning, training and succession development.

Ensure effective communication across production teams and management levels.

About You We're looking for an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in manufacturing leadership.

You will ideally have:- Proven experience managing production teams within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Strong people leadership and development skills.

Experience managing production KPIs and delivering measurable improvements.

A track record of improving processes, efficiency and operational performance.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

A hands-on, visible leadership style with the ability to engage teams at all levels.

A strong understanding of health safety, quality and lean manufacturing principles.

Experience within glass manufacturing, building products, engineering, automotive, FMCG, packaging or other automated manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
