The Role
We’re recruiting a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading regulated manufacturing business. You’ll be a key part of the engineering team, keeping high-speed production equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a hands-on, technically varied role working with modern machinery in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance (electrical & mechanical)
- Rapid breakdown response with strong fault-finding and root cause analysis
- Maintenance of PLC-controlled, high-speed production and packaging equipment
- Work on industrial ovens/microwaves, HV transformers, slicers, sealers, metal detectors, and refrigeration
- Equipment optimisation, start-ups, and performance monitoring
- CMMS updates, shift handovers, and accurate reporting
- Support apprentices and junior engineers
- Maintain strict Health & Safety and food safety compliance
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)
- Minimum 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience
- Strong multi-skilled background
- Experience in a regulated or high-speed manufacturing environment
- Confident with PLCs, automation, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Strong H&S and quality awareness
- Desirable: High-voltage systems, Industrial ovens or microwave technology
