We are currently recruiting for a Lecturer – Food & Drink (Bakery) to join a well-established and highly regarded education provider based in Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Lecturer or someone currently working within the food, bakery or hospitality industry who is looking to move into teaching and pass on their industry knowledge to the next generation. Previous teaching experience is not essential, as the organisation is happy to support candidates in working towards a teaching qualification alongside the role. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Food & Drink and Bakery programmes
- Support students across full-time, part-time and short courses
- Participate in curriculum development aligned to industry standards
- Support practical demonstrations and student development activities
- Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement
- Participate in internal verification and quality monitoring activities
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to learners
- Support recruitment events, open days and employer engagement activities
- Promote safeguarding, health & safety and equality & diversity across all activities
- Previous experience within the food, bakery, hospitality or catering industry
- Level 3 qualification within Food & Drink, Bakery or a related discipline
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about supporting and developing learners
- Organised and able to manage workloads effectively
- Positive and flexible approach towards teamwork and change
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry techniques and standards
- Previous teaching or lecturing experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Previous FE/HE teaching experience
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Assessor/Verifier qualifications
- Experience developing training or learning materials
- 44 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays
