We are currently recruiting for a Lecturer – Business to join a well-established and highly regarded education provider based in Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Lecturer or someone currently working within industry who is looking to move into teaching and share their commercial knowledge and experience with the next generation of business professionals. The organisation is very open to candidates coming directly from industry, provided you are willing to work towards a teaching qualification alongside the role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking environment that places strong emphasis on learner development, staff wellbeing and continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Business-related subjects
- Support students across Further and Higher Education programmes
- Help develop and enhance the Business curriculum
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students
- Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement
- Participate in course administration and internal verification activities
- Support recruitment events, open days and employer engagement activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards
- Promote safeguarding, health & safety and equality & diversity across all activities
- Previous experience within Business, Business Management, Marketing, Analytics or a related commercial environment
- Degree, HNC or equivalent vocational experience within a relevant discipline
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about supporting and developing learners
- Organised and able to manage workloads effectively
- Confident presenting information and engaging groups
- Positive and flexible approach towards teamwork and change
- Previous teaching or lecturing experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Previous FE/HE teaching experience
- Experience delivering BTEC qualifications
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Assessor/Verifier qualifications
- 44 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays
