We are looking for a friendly, organised and proactive full-time Secretary/Legal Assistant to join our Residential Conveyancing team in Trowbridge.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of contracts, leases and other property-related documentation using Case Management and a variety of digital systems and web-based portals.
- Drafting routine correspondence, preparing standard legal documents and updating case files accurately and efficiently.
- Liaising with Accounts to arrange money transfers, preparing risk and compliance documentation and coordinating with colleagues to ensure all required checks and processes are completed.
- Liaising professionally with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other Solicitors, ensuring clear and timely communication at every stage of the conveyancing process.
- Making and receiving telephone calls, dealing with clients in person and on the phone, making appointments, assisting with queries.
- Accurate typing, preparing and amending draft documents, opening files, sending initial letters and providing clients with quotes.
Experience/qualifications required:
- Presents written documents clearly and professionally.
- Professional approach to clients and colleagues.
- Good telephone manner.
- Organisational ability.
- Ability to communicate with all clients and staff.
