ACS Staffing Solutions are looking with a well-established company based in Wellingborough, known for crafting bespoke products to commercial clients across the UK. Due to ongoing growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, they are looking to add a skilled and reliable Joiner/Carpenter to their workshop and site team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpreting technical drawings and plans to construct custom-built structures.
  • Fabricating items from timber, MDF, plywood, and other sheet materials using workshop machinery and hand tools.
  • Assisting in the fit-out and installation of structures at events, exhibitions, and venues nationwide.
  • Collaborating with project managers, designers, and other tradespeople to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of finish, safety, and durability.
  • Loading/unloading materials and helping with general workshop duties as required.
  • Travelling to event locations for set-ups (some early starts, late finishes, and occasional overnight stays may be required).

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a joiner or carpenter (ideally with a background in set-building, shopfitting, or construction).
  • Skilled in using woodworking tools, panel saws, routers, and handheld power tools.
  • Ability to work from technical drawings and measurements.
  • Good attention to detail and strong work ethic.
  • Flexible attitude with a willingness to travel and work varied hours during busy periods.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

Desirable

  • Forklift or telehandler licence
  • CNC machine operation experience
  • Previous experience in events, theatre, or exhibition construction
