  • £13.00 per hour for the first 12 weeks, increasing to
  • £14.42 per hour after 12 weeks

Hours

37.5 hours per week for the first 12 weeks, increasing to 40 hours per week thereafter

About the Role We are recruiting for a hardworking and reliable Yard Operative to join a busy warehouse operation in Brackmills.

This is a physically demanding role that involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, carrying out recycling and yard duties while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sorting recyclable materials including cardboard and plastics.
  • Handling both dry and wet cardboard, which can become heavy and waterlogged.
  • Loading recyclable materials into a large baler compactor.
  • Repairing broken pallets and pallet collars.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised yard.
  • Following all health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required by the business.

Candidate Requirements To be successful in this role, you will

  • Be comfortable carrying out heavy lifting and manual handling throughout the shift.
  • Enjoy physical, hands-on work.
  • Be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions with no sheltered cover.
  • Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Be willing to undertake future training on LLOP and other MHE equipment.
  • Previous experience in a Yard environment.
