Are you experienced in operating automated or CNC woodworking machinery and looking for your next opportunity?
We’re currently looking for an Automatic Crosscut Saw Operator to join a busy timber operation in Corby. You’ll be working with a Hundegger automatic crosscut saw, producing accurately cut timber components to meet production requirements.
What will you be doing?
- Setting up and operating the automatic crosscut saw
- Entering cutting lists and ensuring the machine is correctly programmed
- Inspecting timber for defects and making the best use of each piece to minimise waste
- Measuring and checking finished timber for accuracy and quality
- Carrying out routine machine checks, cleaning and blade changes
- Working safely and following all site health and safety procedures
What are we looking for? Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous experience operating automated or CNC woodworking machinery
- A good understanding of timber, including common defects
- Strong measuring skills and excellent attention to detail
- A reliable, practical approach to work
- A good attitude towards health and safety
- A valid forklift licence
What’s on offer?
