- We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Warehouse Operative / Bendi-Flexi Driver to join a busy and well-organised warehouse operation.
This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will spend a significant amount of their time operating a
Bendi / Flexi forklift , moving stock safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
Alongside forklift duties, you will be involved in picking, goods in, loading and unloading, stock movements and general warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate
Bendi/Flexi forklift trucks to move and position stock within the warehouse.
- Load and unload deliveries accurately and safely.
- Pick customer orders in line with picking instructions and required quantities.
- Put incoming stock away into the correct warehouse locations.
- Use scanning equipment to record stock movements and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Consolidate stock and organise warehouse locations to make the best use of available space.
- Prepare completed orders for dispatch, ensuring goods are correctly wrapped, labelled and ready for delivery.
- Carry out regular checks on forklift trucks and other MHE before use.
- Keep warehouse areas, equipment and working areas clean, tidy and free from obstructions.
- Assist with stock rework and other warehouse projects when required.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and report any accidents, incidents or hazards promptly.
- Work towards daily productivity and accuracy targets.
- Support colleagues across the warehouse and contribute to improvements in working practices.
About You The ideal candidate will have
Proven experience operating a Bendi / Flexi forklift – this is an important requirement for the role.
- A current and relevant Bendi/Flexi or other MHE licence/certification.
- Previous experience working within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience of loading and unloading vehicles.
- Good attention to detail, particularly when picking and recording stock.
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and a reasonable level of written and spoken English.
- A flexible, reliable and positive approach to work.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also working independently when required.
- A strong commitment to working safely at all times.
What You'll Be Doing This is more than a general warehouse role.
Bendi/Flexi driving will be a major part of your day , so we are particularly interested in candidates who are confident operating articulated forklifts in a busy warehouse environment.
You will also have the opportunity to gain experience across a range of warehouse duties, including picking, goods in, dispatch, stock control and loading/unloading.
The role requires someone who takes pride in working safely and accurately, keeps the warehouse organised and is willing to get involved wherever needed.
