The successful Warehouse Manager will be using your knowledge and understanding of worldwide freight forwarding operations to ensure maximum operational efficiency whilst observing high levels of professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fostering a first-rate working relationship with internal stakeholders, as well as building and maintaining an excellent rapport with our external parties including airline sheds, customers and all interested freight forwarders.
  • Be the managing interface between our current Transport & Operations team, and both import and export facilities.
  • Assisting with conducting risk assessments, supporting the development of mitigating strategies where appropriate.
  • Supporting the building and management of effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for the Warehouse Operative team for induction, training and development, sickness cover, and holiday planning.
  • Manage the document processing with particular focus on preparation for the next shift's activities.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and experience in the transport and logistics industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of worldwide freight forwarding operations.
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) within the aviation industry.
  • Experience in managing warehouse operations.
  • Ability to communicate well with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to offer guidance and support and to arrange appropriate training for all warehouse operatives.
  • Good commercial awareness and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines.
