Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee the operations of a 100+ vehicle and trailer fleet. The role involves leading a team of 7 (including workshop and assistant managers), ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and managing budgets, maintenance schedules, and driver performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as named Transport Manager on the Operator Licence, ensuring legal compliance.

Manage driver hours, tachograph regulations, and incidents.

Lead internal audits and maintain compliance processes.

Oversee vehicle maintenance in coordination with the Workshop Manager.

Plan budgets, control costs, and manage supplier contracts.

Handle breakdowns, emergency repairs, and out-of-hours coordination.
Requirements:

CPC in Transport Management (essential)

HGV Licence (Class 1 preferred)

At least 5 years' experience in a similar role

Strong knowledge of transport regulations and excellent leadership skills
