Job Description
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to employ a personable and motivated Technical Support Engineer. To take control of the service function and to manage the external service providers.
- To support Sales team, external engineers and customers with product information and technical support.
- Attend customer sites to repair product in the field.
- Train external service engineers as and when required.
- Retro-fitting equipment to fulfil customer orders
- Source, catalogue and update the technical information held within the central system to ensure that as queries are answered the information is easily accessible for all in the future.
- Ensure that correct documentation is submitted to the warehouse for any parts used during work carried out.
To be successful in the role of Technical Support Engineer., we would like to speak to anyone who has experience in the following:
- Excellent telephone manner and the ability to build a good rapport with a wide range of customers.
- Able to work calmly under pressure and to deal competently and empathetically with others who may be angry or experiencing frustrating circumstances
- Competent IT skills, able to use Word and Excel and other software as required. The ability to type at reasonable speed whilst speaking to customers on the phone is essential.
