We are seeking an experienced and driven Purchasing Manager to lead our purchasing function and oversee a high‑performing team. This is a key role within the organisation, responsible for supplier management, cost control, and aligning purchasing strategies with wider operational goals.
Location: Stoke‑on‑Trent
Salary: £48,000 – £50,000 per annum

About the Role:
You will be responsible for ensuring optimal stock availability to support sales activity, maintaining effective control of inventory value, and ensuring the smooth running of all purchasing‑related functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain appropriate stock levels to meet business needs
- Build and develop strong supplier relationships
- Monitor and manage the total cost of ownership for products
- Plan stockholding and deliveries in line with operational capacity
- Drive forecasting accuracy and demand planning
- Develop supplier performance through KPIs, reviews, and improvement plans
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards
- Support sustainable business growth initiatives
- Undertake additional duties as required
About You:
- 3‑4 years’ experience in purchasing and supply chain management
- Proven track record in supplier evaluation and relationship management
