The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced LEV Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is a field-based role where you'll carry out the inspection, testing and assessment of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems, ensuring they meet current legislation and operate safely and efficiently. If you enjoy working independently, solving technical problems and delivering a high standard of service to customers, this could be an excellent opportunity.

The Role

You'll be responsible for inspecting and testing LEV systems, identifying faults, recommending improvements and producing detailed technical reports. The role also includes supporting the installation, commissioning and maintenance of ventilation equipment where required, while ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations. Frequent travel to customer sites across the UK is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out LEV inspections and testing in accordance with current legislation and industry standards.
  • Assess system performance and identify faults or areas for improvement.
  • Support the installation, commissioning and maintenance of LEV systems.
  • Produce clear and accurate technical reports following inspections.
  • Maintain detailed service records and testing documentation.
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Work independently to manage site visits and priorities.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers.

About You

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • Previous experience inspecting and testing Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ventilation and extraction systems.
  • A good understanding of COSHH regulations and HSE guidance relating to LEV.
  • Experience producing technical reports and inspection documentation.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Essential

  • BOHS P601 certification.

Desirable

  • BOHS P602 and/or P604 qualifications.
