Service Engineer β UK & Europe We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to support the maintenance, servicing, and technical requirements of precision dicing machines and related equipment. This is a field-based role with opportunities to work across the UK, mainland Europe, and occasionally further afield. Key Responsibilities Respond to and resolve customer requests for maintenance, service, or technical assistance, with an emphasis on first-time remote solutions. Gain an in-depth understanding of dicing machines, ancillary equipment, and the dicing process, including blades, setups, and machine operation. Update and maintain machine manuals, data sheets, and standards documentation. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues via phone, email, video conferencing, and face-to-face visits. Collaborate closely with colleagues across Sales, Service, Engineering, and Production to resolve technical issues and support new machine designs. Schedule and conduct customer visits for maintenance, service, and technical support, including travel planning and reporting. Identify opportunities for improvements or solutions to prevent recurring machine issues. Work efficiently and safely in compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies. Maintain excellent customer relationships and provide timely, accurate reports following visits. Person Specification Education / Qualifications: Completed Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering experience. Knowledge of pneumatics and the semiconductor industry is advantageous. Professional Skills: Proven track record as a Service Engineer, ideally in engineering, precision machinery, or industrial manufacturing. Strong computer literacy. Personal Qualities: Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently. Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills. Desire and ability to learn and understand complex machinery. Flexible and adaptable to meet business needs. Physical & Travel Requirements: Must hold a full driving licence and passport. Up to 50% travel, including overnight stays, across the UK, Europe, and occasionally further afield. Ability to lift assemblies up to 20kg safely and use compressed air and electrical testing equipment.
