An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Detection & Controls Sales Support Engineer to join a growing technical team supporting customers and sales operations across the EMEA region. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with strong knowledge of fire detection, control and command systems who enjoys combining technical expertise with customer support, training, and business development activities.
As a key technical specialist, you will provide advanced support for detection and control system solutions, work closely with sales teams to support business growth, and engage with customers, consultants, and industry stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and product adoption.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced technical support for detection and control systems to customers, internal teams, and project stakeholders across the EMEA region.
- Act as a technical resource for sales teams, supporting business development activities and helping to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
- Assist with technical aspects of quotations, specifications, and project documentation.
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Support consultants, end users, and internal colleagues in specifying detection and control solutions for projects.
- Design and deliver product training programmes for customers and internal teams.
- Share technical knowledge and provide support to colleagues across the wider technical support function.
- Participate in new product introductions, beta testing activities, and product development feedback processes.
- Support the resolution of technical product issues and customer claims by providing expert guidance and recommendations.
- Work closely with product management teams to provide market intelligence, customer feedback, and recommendations for future product improvements.
- Engage with consultants, insurers, authorities, and end users to promote the correct specification and application of solutions.
- Support compliance activities, certifications, approvals, and adherence to relevant industry standards.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Strong technical knowledge of detection, control, and command systems and associated technologies.
- Previous experience in technical support, applications engineering, or a similar customer-facing engineering role.
- Experience delivering technical training and product presentations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional European languages would be advantageous.
