The Senior Electronics Systems Engineer will play a critical role in the design and development of electronic systems for precision metrology products. The role spans the full product lifecycle - from concept and prototyping to production and aftersales support - with a focus on embedded systems, signal processing, and motor control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Derive electronics architecture and system performance specifications from product requirements.
- Develop prototypes, run testing, and prepare production-ready designs.
- Lead project design reviews and support overall project planning and risk management.
- Document and support the transition of products into manufacturing.
- Contribute to product quality assurance through automated testing.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience in embedded electronics design, including modules and full system architecture.
- Knowledge of motor drives, transducers, signal conditioning, and display systems.
- Experience with pre-compliance testing (EMI, ESD) and DfX principles.
- Strong analytical and practical problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in PCB layout tools and Microsoft Office.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Background in precision engineering, machine tools, or automation.
- Supplier engagement experience and use of MATLAB or C/C# programming.
- Experience in prototyping and new product introduction.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent).
- At least 3 years' experience in a Senior Design Engineering role across the full product lifecycle.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing engineering, test processes, and quality systems.
