The Senior Electronics Systems Engineer will play a critical role in the design and development of electronic systems for precision metrology products. The role spans the full product lifecycle - from concept and prototyping to production and aftersales support - with a focus on embedded systems, signal processing, and motor control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Derive electronics architecture and system performance specifications from product requirements.
  • Develop prototypes, run testing, and prepare production-ready designs.
  • Lead project design reviews and support overall project planning and risk management.
  • Document and support the transition of products into manufacturing.
  • Contribute to product quality assurance through automated testing.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in embedded electronics design, including modules and full system architecture.
  • Knowledge of motor drives, transducers, signal conditioning, and display systems.
  • Experience with pre-compliance testing (EMI, ESD) and DfX principles.
  • Strong analytical and practical problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in PCB layout tools and Microsoft Office.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Background in precision engineering, machine tools, or automation.
  • Supplier engagement experience and use of MATLAB or C/C# programming.
  • Experience in prototyping and new product introduction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years' experience in a Senior Design Engineering role across the full product lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing engineering, test processes, and quality systems.
