Known for high-quality engineered equipment and exceptional after-sales support, this organisation is now seeking a skilled Service Engineer to support customers across Yorkshire East.
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll work independently on customer sites, delivering expert service, maintenance, and fault-finding support on industrial steam boiler systems, combustion equipment, and associated controls. You'll be a key ambassador for the business, ensuring customers receive professional, reliable, and technically strong support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance on industrial steam boilers and combustion systems
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on combustion equipment, electrical controls, and related systems
- Support customers with steam applications and distribution issues
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and promptly
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, corrective actions, and recommendations
- Work safely at all times, following company and site procedures
- Liaise with internal teams to support parts identification, technical queries, and job planning
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong electromechanical skillset with confident fault-finding ability
- Proven experience working with combustion equipment
- Relevant industrial or commercial gas qualification
- Completed apprenticeship or formal engineering qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently with a flexible, customer-focused approach
Desirable
- Experience with electronic burner management control systems (advantageous but not essential)
