Field Service Engineer – South East
Location: Field-based, covering Reading, Oxford, and surrounding areas
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join a well-established organisation known for high-quality engineering solutions. You\’ll play a key role in supporting customers across the South East by delivering prompt, effective service, maintenance, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first-class on-site service and product support to customers.
- Diagnose faults and carry out maintenance and repairs remotely and on-site, in line with ISO9001 standards.
- Plan and deliver both internal and customer training sessions.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, warranty claims, and in-field failures.
- Ensure efficient resolution of issues while keeping stakeholders informed.
- Complete service documentation and administrative tasks to a high standard.
- Working on a 1 in 4 weekends rota. Be part of the out-of-hours call rota when required.
- Maintain strong communication and professional relationships with customers.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Electrical qualifications essential (ONC, OND, HNC, HND or equivalent).
- Strong mechanical competence – ideally cross-disciplinary skill set.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
- Competent with computer systems and service software.
- Self-motivated, with strong time management and planning skills.
- Able to represent the company professionally in the field.
