A long-established manufacturing business is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their growing production team. This role plays a vital part in the assembly of high-quality mechanical structures and cabinets, contributing directly to the company's reputation for precision and reliability. The Role
You will be responsible for cutting, joining, and assembling metal components using a range of welding techniques. Working with both manual and semi-automatic equipment, you'll ensure assemblies are produced accurately, safely, and efficiently. Key tasks include:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and measurements
- Selecting the correct welding method and equipment for each job
- Setting up and aligning components for welding
- Performing MIG/TIG welding on a variety of metals
- Cutting materials using powered saws to match specifications
- Maintaining equipment to ensure safe operation
- Following production schedules and Work to Lists
- Completing internal Work Orders accurately via the company ERP system
- Supporting general production activities when required
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area

- Experience in MIG and/or TIG welding

- Fabrication experience, including reading drawings and assembling/welding components
- Ability to select appropriate materials and consumables for each job
- Professional welding certification beneficial but not required
- Proficient in English
