An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Systems Engineer to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business operating across the water, wastewater and energy sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys combining hands-on engineering quality assurance with the development and management of digital quality systems.
You will take ownership of the digital Quality Management System (QMS), developing inspection processes, implementing quality workflows, producing performance dashboards and driving continuous improvement across multiple engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Manage quality assurance activities throughout the full project lifecycle, including design reviews, incoming goods, fabrication, assembly and testing. Develop and implement project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs). Conduct in-process inspections and maintain quality checkpoints throughout production.
- Digital Quality Management: Take ownership of the digital QMS, ensuring effective implementation and consistent use across the business. Develop and maintain standardised ITP templates, inspection forms and quality checklists. Configure and manage digital inspection workflows, approvals, hold points and defect management processes using Procore.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyse quality performance data to identify trends, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement. Produce regular quality reports and communicate performance to relevant stakeholders.
About You
Degree, HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering or a related discipline. Proven experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance role within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
