An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimating & Internal Sales Team Leader to join a well-established business operating within the industrial storage, warehouse and workspace solutions sector.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you will take responsibility for a small internal estimating and sales team, coordinating incoming enquiries, preparing accurate and commercially competitive quotations, and ensuring customers receive a responsive and professional service. Working closely with customers, suppliers, designers and project teams, you will play an important role in developing enquiries into successful proposals and new business. Alongside the day-to-day commercial responsibilities, you'll have the opportunity to develop the team, improve internal processes and strengthen relationships with key customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a small internal estimating and sales team.
- Allocate workloads, establish priorities and ensure enquiries are handled efficiently.
- Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to quotation.
- Prepare accurate and commercially competitive estimates and quotations.
- Review technical drawings, specifications and CAD layouts.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain accurate pricing, availability and lead times.
- Work closely with design and project teams to develop proposals and bids.
- Maintain accurate CRM and internal system records.
- Monitor the sales pipeline, workloads and team performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal estimating and sales processes.
- Mentor and support team members to maintain high standards of performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects.

About You
We are looking for someone with a strong background in estimating, internal sales or sales support, ideally gained within an industrial, construction, warehouse, engineering or fit-out environment.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience preparing project estimates and quotations.
- Experience within internal sales, sales support or a similar commercial environment.
- Previous experience supervising, coordinating or leading a small team.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD layouts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience using CRM or ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Experience within industrial storage, racking, warehouse solutions, workshop fit-outs or a related sector would be particularly advantageous.
A technical, engineering or business qualification would also be beneficial, although relevant industry experience will be equally valued.
