ACS International Schools requires a passionate and experienced Senior School Performing Arts Teacher at ACS Cobham. As our Performing Arts Teacher, you’ll teach across the Senior School (ages 12–18), adapting your lessons to suit a wide range of abilities and cultural backgrounds. Experience delivering the IB curriculum is highly desirable, but a deep passion for engaging students in creative expression is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire and challenge students through dynamic and inclusive Performing Arts teaching
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that reflect strong subject knowledge and pedagogical best practice
- Support student progress through thoughtful assessment and feedback
- Contribute to school life through extra-curricular clubs, productions, and events
- Collaborate with colleagues to create integrated, interdisciplinary learning experiences
- Engage actively in the pastoral care programme and promote student wellbeing.
What You’ll Need To Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Theatre, Performing Arts, or related field) or a B.Ed
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience (post-qualification)
- Experience teaching IBDP Theatre is essential
- Strong IT skills, ideally with Apple products
- A collaborative, inclusive approach and strong interpersonal skills
- A passion for inspiring students through performance, creativity, and collaboration.
