ACS International School Cobham is seeking a reliable and conscientious Daytime Cleaner to join our Facilities team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors. The working hours are 10am – 3pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard, ensuring all areas are clean, hygienic and well presented.
- Complete all work efficiently, safely and in a cost-effective manner.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and other members of staff.
- Carry out visual inspections of cleaning machinery and portable equipment before use and report any faults.
- Comply with COSHH regulations and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
- Display appropriate warning signage when undertaking cleaning activities.
- Follow lone working procedures where applicable.
- Be familiar with emergency procedures, the location of first aid equipment and relevant risk assessments.
- Work in accordance with Health and Safety legislation, including safe manual handling practices.
- Follow site security procedures, including locking doors, securing windows, signing keys and radios in and out, and ensuring cleaning cupboards are locked.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by the Cleaning Supervisor or Caretaking Manager.
About You
- Ideally has previous cleaning experience within a professional or commercial environment.
- Has an understanding of COSHH regulations.
- Has knowledge of manual handling and general health and safety requirements.
- Is experienced in using cleaning equipment and following professional cleaning procedures.
- Is reliable, organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
