An international, publicly listed business that produces high-performance materials for the aerospace, defence, automotive, electronics, energy and industrial markets,this company has strong growth plans globally and seeks an Applications Engineering Manager to assist with bridging the global technical team and commercial/client requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
Your core responsibilities will include team leadership, providing technical support and escalation, client and supplier liaison, product design-in, project execution and budget oversight. This will involve collaboration with the commercial teams, key clients, product management and R&D teams to align technical specifications with business objectives. The role will also require travel to the regions across the USA, EMEA and ASIA Pacific.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Degree qualified in Engineering (mechanical, electrical/electronics or related technical discipline)
- Strong experience in application or design engineering where you have been able to engage with clients and influence product decisions
- Aerospace industry focus or similar (e.g. defence, automotive, etc.)
- The leadership skills that enable you to coach, mentor and motivate others
- Business/commercial acumen
- High level relationship building skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel.
