The role of Quality Inspector:
- Reading from technical drawings; working on first-off and final inspection activities using handheld inspection tools
- Completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and customer quality documentation packs
- Supporting calibration activities for internal inspection equipment
- Completing non-conformance reports and assisting with root cause investigations alongside production teams
- Setting and operating CMM equipment (programming experience advantageous but not essential)
The ideal Quality Inspector:
- Previous experience in a similar quality inspection role (Mechanical Inspector, etc.)
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently
- Experience using standard inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers, and gauges
- Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- CMM experience beneficial but not essential
- Positive attitude with willingness to support continuous improvement
