The role of Technical Support Engineer:
- Provide remote technical support to customers and field service engineers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, CNC and software-related faults
- Support customers via telephone, email and remote diagnostic systems
- Analyse machine alarms and identify effective technical solutions
- Escalate complex issues to specialist engineering teams where required
- Assist customers during machine installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance
- Manage technical support cases and maintain accurate service records
- Identify spare parts requirements and assist with service planning
- Work closely with Service, Engineering and Sales teams to ensure excellent customer support
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical knowledge sharing
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused service with excellent response times
The ideal Technical Support Engineer:
- Ideally have experience working with industrial machinery, automation equipment, or CNC systems
- Experience as a technical support engineer, maintenance or field service engineering role
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability
- Experience diagnosing industrial machinery or automated equipment
- Knowledge of PLCs, CNC machinery or industrial control systems would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to prioritise multiple technical support cases
- A proactive and solution-focused approach
