Are you an experienced IT Infrastructure professional looking for your next career move? We’re seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimisation of our organisation’s on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid technology environments.
This role is based at our head office near Blythe Bridge, with some travel to other sites.

The Role
You will oversee the full IT infrastructure landscape—networks, servers, cloud services, and end‑user environments—ensuring systems are secure, resilient, and aligned with business needs. You’ll lead a small infrastructure/operations team and balance day‑to‑day operational requirements with strategic planning.
- Own and manage the full IT infrastructure across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments
- Lead, develop, and mentor a small technical team
- Ensure high availability, performance, and capacity planning of all critical systems
- Oversee network architecture and monitoring (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/VPN/Firewalls)
- Manage servers and virtualisation platforms (Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Nutanix AHV, Hyper‑V)
- Apply practical knowledge of access control and CCTV systems
- Support cloud platforms and services (Microsoft 365, Entra, Azure/AWS, SaaS solutions)
- Implement IT security controls, patching, hardening, and endpoint protection
- Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
- Manage IT assets, licensing, vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs
- Define and maintain infrastructure standards and documentation
- Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and major outages
- Contribute to IT strategy, roadmapping, and budgeting
- Proven experience in IT Infrastructure Management, IT Operations Management, or similar
- Strong technical background in:
- Networking (switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs)
- Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
- Virtualisation (VMware/Hyper‑V) and storage technologies
- Cloud technologies (Azure and/or AWS in production)
- Diagnostic understanding of DHCP/DNS
- Experience with Office 365 in Citrix environments (desirable)
- Strong understanding of IT security principles and tooling
- People management experience within infrastructure/operations teams
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, MCSE/MCSA, Azure/AWS, ITIL
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., PRTG, Halo, ExtremeCloud IQ, Omada)
- Familiarity with automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python)
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management frameworks
