Implementation Project Manager (JBacs1941) in London

Are you an experienced Implementation, Onboarding or Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership of complex projects and turning plans into working, revenue generating sites?

We are recruiting for a growing technology business that is transforming the way car parks operate.

The company combines software with physical infrastructure, including ANPR cameras, connectivity, payment systems, signage and enforcement processes.

Every new car park requires careful planning and coordination before it can become operational.

As Onboarding Manager, you will take complete responsibility for this process, from the point the client signs the contract through to the successful launch of the site.

This is not a deeply technical engineering role.

You will have access to product specialists, technical engineers, estate management support and experienced contractors.

Your responsibility will be to understand what each site needs, develop a practical implementation plan and ensure that every element is delivered correctly and on time.

The role

You will act as the single point of accountability for the onboarding and implementation of new car park sites.

Each project will begin with understanding the client’s requirements and assessing the practical realities of the site.

You will then design an implementation scheme covering the physical installation, technical configuration and commercial operation of the car park.

This could include cameras, network connectivity, signage, tariffs, permits, payment arrangements and enforcement rules.

You will work closely with internal specialists and external contractors to determine the most effective solution.

Once the design has been agreed, you will build and manage the complete project plan.

You will coordinate every workstream, manage dependencies, monitor deadlines and resolve problems before they delay the launch.

You will also test each site from the perspective of the motorists, tenants and clients who will use it, ensuring everything works properly before enforcement begins.

Key responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include

• Managing the complete onboarding and implementation of new sites
• Conducting client discovery meetings and desktop site surveys
• Translating client requirements into practical and commercially viable site designs
• Coordinating cameras, connectivity, tariffs, permits, signage and enforcement arrangements
• Creating and managing implementation plans across multiple workstreams
• Managing several concurrent site launches with competing deadlines
• Obtaining quotations and procuring equipment and signage
• Appointing and coordinating installation contractors
• Checking completed installation work against the agreed specification
• Working with technical teams to configure and test each site
• Ensuring every site receives technical approval before launch
• Monitoring post launch performance and resolving issues before enforcement begins
• Maintaining complete and accurate site documentation
• Handing successfully launched sites into business as usual operations
• Supporting wider projects, including estate migrations and signage or compliance programmes
• What we are looking for

You will need at least three years’ experience in implementation, client onboarding, project delivery or project management.

Ideally, you will have delivered a product or service that combines software with installation or activity in the physical world. Relevant sectors could include:

• EPOS systems
• Payment technology
• Telematics
• Access control
• EV charging
• Security systems
• Field service technology
• Hardware and software installations

You do not need previous parking industry experience, as full sector training will be provided.

You must, however, be comfortable managing installations, contractors, suppliers, connectivity requirements and client expectations.

You should be technically confident enough to understand a network diagram, discuss requirements with engineers and challenge contractors when something does not meet the agreed specification.

The successful person will be highly organised, curious and resourceful.

You will be comfortable working with incomplete information, asking detailed questions and finding the answers needed to move a project forward.

Most importantly, you will take ownership.

You will collaborate with specialists, raise problems early and ask for support when required, but you will remain accountable for delivering each site successfully.
