Position: Operations Manager – Engineering Sector Reference: EDacs1574 Location: Slough Salary: Dependent on experience Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations, production planning, and resource management to achieve productivity and performance goals. Develop and implement strategies for cost control, process optimization, and on-time delivery. Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Ensure compliance with health and safety, legal, and quality standards (QHSE, ISO, etc.). Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet customer expectations and business targets. Manage 3 direct reports and lead talent development, cross-training, and succession planning. Analyse data to support business decisions on pricing, customer demands, and operational enhancements. Oversee reporting, budgeting, and operational KPIs. Represent the company professionally and support organizational culture and engagement initiatives. Candidate Requirements Minimum 8-10 years of operations leadership experience, ideally in MRO, aerospace, or complex manufacturing environments. Proven background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement (CI), and low-volume/high-mix operations. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools (Oracle, Excel, PowerPoint). Bachelor\’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (Master\’s/MBA preferred).
