This is an excellent first job for someone looking to start their career in construction administration, document control or civil engineering. As an Office Administrator, you will support both office and site teams with day-to-day administrative tasks, whilst learning how project documents are managed and controlled. You will receive in-person training, with a clear development route into a Document Control position. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, organised, and confident in using computers.

Key Duties & Accountabilities
  • General Office Administration
    • Keep digital and paper filing systems tidy and up to date.
    • Scan, print, photocopy, and prepare documents and site files as needed.
    • Update registers, logs, and basic spreadsheets.
    • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and general correspondence.
  • Introduction to Document Control
    • Help organise and maintain project documentation.
    • Save and label documents correctly to support version control.
    • Ensure documents are stored in the correct folders and locations.
    • Learn how controlled documents are created, reviewed, and updated.
  • Digital Systems & Data Management
    • Learn to use digital tools such as Workspace, VantagePoint, DocuSign, and Microsoft Forms.
    • Upload documents, update simple workflows, and assist with digital templates.
    • Support the move from paper systems to digital processes.
  • Training, Support & User Assistance
    • Become a point of contact for simple document or system queries after training.
    • Support colleagues who need assistance using digital tools or finding documents.
  • Communication & Teamwork
    • Work closely with office staff and site-based teams.
Essential Skills
