We are recruiting Electronics Engineers at Junior, Engineer and Senior levels to join a growing engineering team developing advanced thermal imaging and electro optical products used in demanding commercial, industrial and defence applications.
This is an opportunity to work on innovative technology within a business that designs, develops and manufactures its own products.
You'll become part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, working alongside software, firmware, mechanical and production engineers to develop high performance electronic systems from initial concept through to manufacture.
Depending on your level of experience, you'll either develop your technical skills under the guidance of experienced engineers, work independently across the full product development lifecycle, or take technical ownership of complex electronic designs while supporting and mentoring other members of the engineering team.
The Role
You’ll be involved in the design, development, testing and support of electronic hardware used in advanced imaging products.
Working as part of the engineering team, you’ll contribute throughout the complete product development lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through prototype development, verification, testing and production.
Typical responsibilities include
- Designing analogue and digital electronic circuits.
- Producing schematics, design calculations and technical documentation.
- Supporting PCB design and hardware development.
- Testing, debugging and fault finding at board and system level.
- Integrating electronic hardware with firmware, software, sensors and communication interfaces.
- Supporting prototype builds, product verification and production release.
- Working with production teams to resolve technical issues and support manufacturing.
- Contributing to product improvements, component selection and ongoing engineering development.
Senior Engineers will also take technical ownership of projects, contribute to design reviews, support engineering best practice and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
About You
We’re interested in hearing from engineers at different stages of their career, from graduates and early career engineers through to experienced Senior Electronics Engineers.
You’ll ideally have experience in some or all of the following
- Electronic hardware design.
- Analogue and digital electronics.
- PCB design and schematic capture.
- Electronic testing, debugging and fault finding.
- Embedded electronics, microcontrollers, FPGA or sensor integration.
- Working on products from concept through to manufacture.
Experience gained within defence, aerospace, industrial, scientific or other high technology engineering environments would be beneficial, although candidates from other electronics design backgrounds will also be considered.
You’ll hold a degree, HNC, HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, together with a practical, hands on approach to solving engineering problems.
What’s on Offer
This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging products within a collaborative engineering environment where you’ll have exposure to the complete product development process.
In return you’ll receive
- A competitive salary aligned to your experience and level.
- Opportunities at Junior, Engineer and Senior Engineer level.
- The chance to work on advanced thermal imaging and electro optical technology.
- Involvement in projects from concept through to manufacture.
- Ongoing technical development and career progression.
- A permanent position within an established and innovative engineering business.
Whether you’re looking to take the next step in your engineering career or you’re an experienced electronics engineer seeking a technically challenging environment, we’d be pleased to hear from you.
