Location: On-site, Essex (commutable distance required)
This is a well-established position within the business, and you will work independently while collaborating closely with colleagues across all departments and external suppliers. You will report directly to a senior operations leader and play a key role in keeping the site safe, efficient and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities & Building Management
- Act as the first point of contact for all facilities contractors (cleaning, security, alarms, air conditioning, gardening, electrical, plumbing, waste, utilities, decorating, etc.)
- Oversee regular and project work to agreed specifications and contracts
- Carry out basic maintenance and low-level repairs where appropriate (e.g. light fittings, ceiling tiles, door handles, minor decorating)
- Monitor buildings and carry out preventative checks
- Manage site access, keys and key holders
- Vehicle & Fleet Administration
- Manage company vehicle fleet administration, including checks, servicing, MOTs, tax and breakdown cover
- Support the purchase of new vehicles and disposal of old vehicles as required
- IT & Telephony Support
- Work with an external IT support provider to ensure effective first-line IT support
- Manage IT and mobile phone inventory
- Organise purchase and setup of laptops, PCs and accessories
- New starter IT setup and leaver equipment collection
- Health & Safety Administration
- Support day-to-day health & safety systems and processes
- Coordinate fire alarm and emergency lighting tests
- Manage contractor H&S documentation
- General
- Provide general support as needed to ensure smooth business operations
- Occasional out-of-hours attendance may be required for alarms or contractor visits (time off in lieu provided)
- Previous experience in a facilities or maintenance role
- Hands-on experience with building maintenance and minor repairs
- Experience managing contractors and suppliers
- Basic IT knowledge (hardware, software, printers, telephony)
