Core Responsibilities:
- Quality Management: Lead and maintain ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation. Oversee customer/supplier non-conformance handling, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Manage production quality tools: PFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs. Lead quality audits, KPIs, and management reviews. Maintain and improve QMS policies and SOPs. Guide the Quality team and ensure effective supplier/customer liaison.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with PUWER, COSHH, DSEAR, DSE, Fire Risk Assessments, etc. Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and health surveillance programs. Manage near-miss reporting, accident investigations, and safety KPIs. Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and HSE training programs. Develop systems for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification.
- Environmental Management: Maintain compliance with environmental standards. Support waste management and pollution prevention controls. Prepare for and manage ISO 14001 audit readiness.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- GRAD IOSH member (essential)
- Lead auditor for ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
- Background in manufacturing environments
- AIEMA Environmental Status
- NEBOSH certification (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable Qualifications:
- CDM experience
- ILM qualification or "Train the Trainer" (PETTLS)
