We\’re recruiting for a Materials Control Planner to join a small but experienced team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is essential to ensuring timely material supply to support the production plan. You\’ll be coordinating orders, monitoring stock levels, and proactively managing supplier relationships to meet production demands-even when schedules change. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives under pressure, communicates well with suppliers globally, and enjoys working in a detail-focused and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Ensure timely delivery of components by liaising closely with global suppliers. Manage and maintain order books to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries. Use MRP systems to review, place, and manage purchase and works orders. Monitor and react to changing production needs, expediting materials as necessary. Identify and flag potential material shortages to the production team. Support stock level control in line with global guidelines. Handle component queries, perform stock adjustments, and manage daily admin tasks. Attend and contribute to weekly shortage meetings.Key Skills & Experience: Ability to stay calm and proactive in a fast-paced, changeable environment. High attention to detail with solid English and numeracy skills. Previous administration experience; experience with MRP systems is a plus.This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who enjoys end-to-end material planning and problem-solving to keep production on track.
