We\’re currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join the Operations team in Plymouth. This is a great opportunity for a time-served engineer with a mechanical bias who enjoys working in a fast-paced, safety-critical manufacturing environment.

You\’ll be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance and responding to machine breakdowns, helping to improve asset reliability and ensuring machinery is safe, compliant, and efficient. Ideal for someone with strong fault-finding skills and a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Perform planned preventative maintenance across plant equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical faults.
Support machinery installations, moves, and overhauls.
Improve reliability and cost-effectiveness of assets.
Work with single/three-phase circuits and basic PLC systems.
Adhere to all H&S and environmental standards.
Engage in continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

Time-served Maintenance Engineer (ideally mechanical bias).
Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
Basic understanding of PLCs and electrical systems.
Comfortable with shift work, call-outs, and overtime.
Familiar with 5S, lean manufacturing, and safety best practices.
Strong team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
IT literate (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Must pass medical, drug, and alcohol screening.

Desirable

Multi-skilled engineering background.
