An exciting opportunity is available for a Service Technician to join a busy service centre team. This role involves working with customers, assessing returned equipment, identifying faults and carrying out repairs to ensure products are returned to full working condition. You will work across a wide range of equipment including cameras, robotic systems, control units, cable reels and related products. This is a varied hands-on role with daily customer interaction and opportunities to develop technical skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Fault finding across a range of products at component level including electrical and mechanical issues
- Reading technical drawings and schematics and carrying out disassembly and reassembly of equipment
- Performing repairs, maintenance and servicing on a variety of products
- Providing excellent customer service both face to face and over the phone
- Offering technical support to customers experiencing issues
- Recording service activity including work carried out, labour hours and parts used using internal systems
- Monitoring stock levels and requesting parts when needed
- Supporting goods in and goods out activities when required
Requirements:
- Mechanical or electrical background
- Experience with soldering including small components
- Previous customer service experience
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Good computer skills
- Strong problem solving ability
