HSE Advisor – Manufacturing | Manchester Mon-Fri (37 hrs)

We\’re working with a leading manufacturing business based in Manchester that\’s looking to bring on an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor. This is a hands-on, site-based role reporting to the Head of HSEE, ideal for someone passionate about driving continuous HSE improvement in a fast-paced environment.

You\’ll be responsible for providing day-to-day HSE support, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring compliance with UK legislation and ISO standards (45001, 14001, 50001). Great opportunity for someone from a manufacturing or engineering background looking to take ownership and grow within a stable business.

Key Responsibilities

Provide HSE support and guidance across the site
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections
Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training
Maintain compliance with UK HSE legislation (e.g. COSHH, RIDDOR, PUWER)
Support ISO systems (45001, 14001, 50001)
Monitor HSE KPIs and drive continuous improvement
Support environmental audits, reporting, and A2 permit compliance
Promote sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives

Skills & Experience

NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
HSE experience in manufacturing or engineering
Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation
Confident communicator with strong influencing skills
Skilled in risk assessments, audits & incident investigationsDesirable:

NEBOSH Diploma / TechIOSH or GradIOSH
ISO systems experience (45001, 14001, 50001)
