The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The successful Field Service Engineer will be a key member of the customer support team and will travel to customer sites to perform services. These services include calibration and repair of NSI-MI equipment. The Field Service Engineer must demonstrate strong technical skills, excellent communication, time management, planning, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional responses in a timely manner to all customers.
- Support customer test/production facilities on a regularly scheduled or as-required basis for calibrations and other services.
- Perform precision system alignment of multiple axes using laser tracker or other optical tools to accuracies in the order of 10 µm.
- Exhibit excellent diagnostic abilities to isolate issues and repair equipment.
- Analyze diverse requirements in RF/Microwave measurements with a good understanding of mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and software.
- Prepare comprehensive Field Service Reports, Calibration Certificates, and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Manage time and priorities so that tasks are completed on or ahead of schedule.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work and troubleshoot independently with minimum supervision.
- Tactfully handle difficult situations and maintain composure under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Troubleshooting system level electronic systems.
- Ability to read schematic diagrams and engineering drawings.
