A long‑established and highly respected engineering manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. Operating across a wide range of industrial sectors, this organisation designs and supplies advanced process heating, steam generation, thermal oxidation and water treatment solutions used globally.
Reporting to the Technical & Quality Manager and working closely with the Production Works Supervisor, you will play a key role in progressing the electrical and associated mechanical elements of customer contracts through Engineering and Works - from design through to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Production Works Supervisor in progressing contracts through Engineering & Works using the company's internal systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional project teams, suppliers, and group technical departments on product design, operation, and project delivery.
- Lead the electrical engineering aspects of contracts, including control circuit design, site wiring diagrams, and associated documentation such as manuals.
- Prepare and revise electrical and mechanical drawings, including circuit diagrams, panel layouts, P&IDs, GAs, and site wiring diagrams.
- Produce and update documentation for the Technical Service Department.
- Provide technical support to commissioning and service engineers, assisting with onsite electrical queries and troubleshooting when required.
- Experience in system design within an ISO 9001 quality‑driven engineering environment.
- Background in electrical engineering services - ideally with exposure to steam, high‑temperature process heating, or related industrial applications (other backgrounds considered).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for producing electrical circuit diagrams, P&IDs, and GA drawings.
- Practical engineering skills supported by a relevant qualification (HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar).
