Our client, a busy independent bodyshop in Southend-on-Sea, is looking for a confident and customer-focused Bodyshop Advisor to take ownership of all front-of-house duties. This role must be filled by someone from a bodyshop environment, either an experienced Bodyshop Advisor or someone currently working as a trainee Estimator / VDA-type role who understands accident repair processes and customer handling. If you enjoy dealing with customers, understand bodyshop workflows, and want a role with responsibility and progression — this is an excellent opportunity.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Managing all front-of-house and customer-facing activity within the bodyshop
  • Handling customer enquiries, booking vehicles in and providing regular repair updates
  • Liaising with technicians, estimators, and insurers to track job progress
  • Assisting with estimates, repair authorisations, and basic invoicing
  • Ensuring a smooth customer journey from drop-off to collection
  • Delivering high levels of customer service in a busy repair environment

Your Background & Skills

  • Previous experience within a bodyshop environment is essential
  • Suitable experience includes: Bodyshop Advisor, Trainee Estimator / VDA, Accident repair customer service roles
  • Strong understanding of accident repair processes and vehicle damage
  • Confident communicator with excellent customer-handling skills
  • Organised, professional, and able to manage a busy front-of-house workload
