PSV Field Service Technician
Starting Salary £55,000 + Overtime + Call out payment.

Permanent/Full Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (7am to 4.30pm) (On call every 3 weeks)
Our client, a leading company in the bus and coach industry renowned for its engineering excellence and innovation, is expanding its team. They are looking for a PSV Field-based Service Technician covering the Midlands area of the UK.
This role is pivotal in providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for growing parc of buses and coaches, directly impacting our clients commitment to reliability and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As PSV Field Service Technician your job role will include, but not be limited to the following.
- Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, including axle and driveline repairs.
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections, routine maintenance, preventative measures, and repairs to ensure vehicle reliability and roadworthiness.
- Electrical fault finding including diagnosing CAN networks.
- Diagnosing faults on HGV/PSV air systems.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and stay abreast of emerging technologies within the industry.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Service Technician within the bus, coach, or heavy vehicle sector.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role, managing time and resources effectively.
- Full driving license, with the willingness to travel across the designated region
- Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Full clean driving licence. D (PSV) Licence preferrable.

Working closely with all key component suppliers including Allison, ZF, Knorr-Bremse, Cummins, with advanced training on all diagnostic equipment.
