We’re recruiting on behalf of a modern, state-of-the-art Approved Bodyshop for an experienced MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) to join their established accident repair team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified MET Technician who takes pride in high-quality repairs and wants to work in a professional, well-equipped environment with realistic expectations and strong earning potential.
The Role
- Strip, assess, repair, and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults following vehicle damage
- Remove and refit components including engines, gearboxes, suspension, and trim
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and safety standards
- Carry out final quality checks prior to vehicle handover
- Communicate effectively with Service and Parts teams
- Highlight additional work, delays, or specialist repair requirements
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a MET Technician within a bodyshop or accident repair centre
- NVQ Level 3 / ATA / IMI qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Full UK Driving Licence
